Frankly, I always thought that it was refusing the offer of God's Grace and dying in your sins.

My thought was that someone so far down the path of defiance of God's Will would find it hard to ever turn away, having rejected God's call to such an extent. Perhaps similar to the way God hardened Pharaoh's heart in Exodus.

I'm sure t here are other thoughts out there, too.

Abortion is murder. Despite all the rhetoric back and forth about it, everybody knows what it is.
Rebecca Todd Peters is using God’s name in vain in this claim. I would not stand too close to her when it starts raining and you hear rumbles off in the distance.
