Prosecutors say a hotline set up to get information on child sexual abuse by clergy within Pennsylvania’s Roman Catholic dioceses has received more than 400 calls over the past six days.

A spokesman for the attorney general’s office said Monday agents are returning all calls and assessing the facts.

Spokesman Joe Grace says the agents will have to consult with the office’s lawyers to determine whether any claims warrant investigation.

I would tend to sympathize with the Catholic Church if they hadn’t chosen a Globalist/Communist Pope and surrendered their entire secondary and Jesuit Collegiate education system to the enemy. Oh well.

It’s a systemic problem that has been happening long before this pope. I can understand wanting to keep government out of church business, but that shouldn’t include hiding crimes of this magnitude.

A Kansas City attorney, who has represented victims in dozens
of priest sexual abuse lawsuits, says *at least 228 current and former priests
in Missouri and the Kansas City area* have been accused of harming children.

Yep. Hasn’t Francis only been top dog for 5 years? In Catholic years that’s not even a blip.

Hey... I didn’t vote for him.

Also, find the common thread between your two points. Sounds like Clement XIV had the right idea after all.

Sadly the Bible is very clear on all of this. If you consciously disobey God’s commands, this is what happens.

I understand people's concern for the free exercise of religion, but since homosexual sex and abuse of minors is NOT a tenant of Christianity, then prohibiting it and bringing in law enforcement and prosecuting the crimes is NOT impinging on religious freedom.

They simply have no ground to stand on to claim First Amendment protection.

It wouldn’t surprise me.

I don’t see why the numbers in PA would be any different than any other state. I would expect that situation to be fairly representative of what’s going on in Roman Catholicism in MANY places in this country and around the world.

In the initial Jesuit constitutions there was a cap on the total number of Jesuits. I forget the exact number—but it was I the 60-75 range. As well, the Jesuits initially did not recruit at all. Perhaps with these parameters things would have been better but I have wondered many times if reversing Clement XIV was a good idea.

Neither would I. And I’m Catholic. Went to Catholic schools of the 1960s.
