AG Barbara Underwood orders Criminal Division into action
ALBANY, N.Y. (ChurchMilitant.com) - New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood appears to be laying the groundwork for a grand jury investigation into clerical sex abuse and cover-up in the Empire State.
Sources are telling Church Militant that, based on the findings of the Pennsylvania grand jury investigation, various state attorneys general — with Underwood in the lead — are considering launching investigations into clerical sex abuse and cover-up in their own states.
On Thursday, Church Militant contacted the New York attorney general's office to inquire about efforts to expose sexual assault and cover-up in the state's eight Catholic dioceses.
In a statement, Communications Director and Senior Policy Advisor Amy Spitalnick responded by first recognizing Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro for his work on behalf of victims:
Attorney General Underwood commends Pennsylvania Attorney General Shapiro on his investigative grand jury report, which was the result of two years of rigorous investigation that included the review of over 2 million documents, extensive interviews, and much more. Spitalnick then confirmed Underwood is ordering criminal investigators into action.

Agree. However, IF they dig too deep, they’ll uncover those they don’t want uncovered. At that point, the “investigation” will end.
I weep for the damage the Church has incurred and will incur, but she had her chances — again and again — to clean house, and failed to do so.
May this time of cleansing be swiftly completed.

A full investigation of this will need to go back to Cardinal Spellman and will implicate high-ranking New York City politicians, NY-based national political figures, intelligence community members operating in New York, and U.N. officials, in addition to church officials.

I know he is not clergy, but they should start with Eric Schneiderman.
I see this as extremely unlikely considering how deeply entrenched homosexuality/pederasty is embedded in the clergy.

Rounding up the pedophiles wherever they are would bring rejoicing to millions of people in the US and around the world. As it is, we mourn when we hear of brutality against our most innocent, our children, and how their lives are snuffed out either literally, as in abortion, or figuratively, through sexual and, or, physical abuse and neglect. Any abused child is everyone’s child and how our nation can overlook the abuse of the powerful against our most innocent and vulnerable is understood only in terms of what we know about Satan. We look forward to a day when justice will reign.
I am so disappointed! I’m not a Catholic and never have been, but I have always thought of the Catholic Church as being the first organized Christian church - sort of as the umbrella for the rest of us.
Now I’m thinking the no-marriage policy for priests was a loud call for queers to become priests.
