Bergoglio is Jesuit. The vast majority of Jesuits quit being Catholic years ago.

Two men considering a religious vocation were having a conversation. "What is similar about the Jesuit and Dominican Orders? " the one asked.

The second replied, "Well, they were both founded by Spaniards -- St. Dominic for the Dominicans, and St. Ignatius of Loyola for the Jesuits.
They were also both founded to combat heresy -- the Dominicans to fight the Albigensians, and the Jesuits to fight the Protestants."

"What is different about the Jesuit and Dominican Orders?"

"Met any Albigensians lately?"

Yeah, of course! These local, autonomous, independent, nondenominational, Bible-preaching immersionist gatherings in the Name of Christ that locally break bread together in worship, pray, share, and discipline their own, are all over the globe. Many of them have been called "Donatists," "Paulists," "Anabaptists" (in brief, simply "Baptists"), "Mennonites," "Plymouth Brethren," just "Bible Fellowships" or simply "non-denominational." Such local gatherings are too numerous to count, for their faith is transmitted by personal sharing of the Gospel of Christ.

Above all, they are not "Catholics," "Protestants," denominational episcopacies, or children of the "Reformation." And when the Millennial Kingdom becomes reality, they will rule as agents of the Prince of Peace.
