Because tough love is a thing.
Because you’re sinning grievously while doing so, and doing harm both to yourself and to everyone else around and your faith from that sin.
Only one of us has tried to come up with excuses that let him ignore Jesus’ commands to love your enemy, and it wasn’t me.
What kind of faith is that, to ignore the word of God?
What kind of example are you setting for your children and grandchildren, teaching them that you can ignore what Jesus directly said?
So yes, I will attack you when you are sinning and teaching falsely, and it is out of love for both you and those around you.
