Maybe, next time around, when God writes a new Bible, He will consult with you, eager for your opinion.

I believe God judges more on intent than on action. 2 Samuel 6:1-7
1 Chronicles 13:9-12

Trick question. He would forgive either of them if you acted with a pure heart. Trick answer.
He would forgive either of them if you acted with a pure heart; or NOT!

Aw! Thank you! What a huge blessing! You can all pray for “Pete”. He has never (in our 35 years) read the Bible. I figure the only way he hears The Word is through me saying it, and going to church with him along. God has a plan and I think he will be saved before it’s too late.
The prayers of the righteous accomplish much!
God Bless You!

Nothing you said contradicts my assertion that sometimes NOT killing is the greater sin. I agree completely with your reasoning re the death penalty, and would go further and say that a failure to execute certain heinous violators constitutes an abdication of justice.
As I said, the decisions aren’t always easy.

Yes, if it is one’s duty to protect those under one’s care. Including one’s self. Not doing one’s duty is a sin against justice.
But killing is not the goal, but might be the means to securing peace, it depends on the situation.
