I am cautiously posting this very good news. Bear in mind that I will never be totally cured of this. The docs know my bone marrow makes too many leukocytes, but they do not know why. Therefore, they cannot target that process and stop it.
Nonetheless, here is what I found out during my infusion today:
Praise the Lord! I have been cautiously optimistic as I’ve seen the progressing blood results. However, today’s bloods were totally great. I am just barely not anemic; the first time in about 15 years! My whites are down, just on the outside of normal and the platelets are perfect. I am expecting the oncologist to declare me in remission next week or the next. Yay!
