"The latest research is debunking current knowledge about evolution. After studying 5 million genetic barcodes, scientists found 90 percent of species on Earth may have emerged around the same time as humans."

Gen 1:26 And he said: Let us make man to our image and likeness: and let him have dominion over the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the air, and the beasts, and the whole earth, and every creeping creature that moveth upon the earth.

When you think about it, this makes perfect sense. Our planet is such a finely tuned ecosystem that it wouldn’t function without all of its component parts. It wouldn’t make sense, for example, for a spider to exist and spend its time spinning a web ... unless there were insects to catch in that web.

But there is little odd part to this story. Only 90-percent of animals fell into this category. The other 10-percent did NOT come from that era. So the question ought to be which animals fell into the ‘modern’ era and which extend beyond that era.

I would suggest that this whole DNA discussion is not finished, and there’s going to be a number of issues laid out which won’t fit well with any narrative.

" .....they found out that 9 out of 10 animal species on the planet came to being at the same time as humans did some 100,000 to 200,000 years ago."

There was no “evolution”. It flat out is a hoax.

Interesting. They don’t know how this happened but their conclusion is that all the other animals must have died out at the same time.

The article actually sates that 90% of the 100,000 species sampled "Stoeckle and Thaler arrived at the conclusion that most animals appeared simultaneously"; not at around the same time as the extract states.

Massive ice age driven environmental changes

With repeated ice ages, the species who were adaptable to the constant changing (if 10000 years can be considered quick) became prevalent.

Rush brought up a good point the other day that I’ve often wondered myself.

If man evolved from ape, why are there still apes?

I’m guessing that the 10% “Old Guard” would be the alligators, turtles, horseshoe crabs, etc., that appear in the fossil record.

Gen 1:24 And God said: Let the earth bring forth the living creature in its kind, cattle and creeping things, and beasts of the earth, according to their kinds. And it was so done.

...

That’s good, but it doesn’t mention that eukaryotic cells were around for over 2 billion years before mammals and humans evolved.
