I heard a talk where the speaker compared the Trinity to an apple pie. Not that it is an exact comparison; no one can fully understand the Trinity. But it is something we can grasp as a hint of what the Trinity is.
The Spirit is the heat that comes out of the pie when it is removed from the oven. It overwhelms you with the wonderful aroma that attracts you to the pie.
The Father is the heavenly filling that we cannot see under the crust.
Jesus is the crust that covers the filling.
The speaker concluded by saying we cannot get to the filling without going through the crust.
I like that analogy.
