These three items would appear to be covered by the other fruits. For instance, *generosity* would an example of love, kindness, and/or goodness. Likewise, *modesty* and *chastity* would be examples of self-control.

While that is true, there was no need to change the original to say something that isn't said in the Greek.

The concepts of chastity and modesty can be included within the framework of self-control because self-control covers a much broader range than just sexual.

But his leaving out the Greek showed that the words he used in English were not what the Greek said.

It's never a good idea to change the meaning of Scripture to advance an agenda or theology or doctrine.
