Whoa. Stop right there. You have been caught more than once of posting material that is not original to you that you pass off as your own. I have called you on that several times.
You cut and pasted my post to make it look like what you wanted to. That is where the disenginousness began.
What I was doing was illustrating your falsehood with my post. You got busted and didn't like it.
Step down off your high horse.
I'm not going to tolerate your behavior. We're through.
You are saying that non-Catholics are accepted within the Roman Catholic church? That Roman Catholics consider non-Roman Catholics to be faithful believers? That non-Roman Catholics could participate in the Eucharist?
For Roman Catholics believe salvation occurs as a result of baptism whereas Christianity teaches salvation occurs prior to baptism and is followed up with believers baptism (Acts 10:44-47).
I ask some of your fellow Roman Catholics if they concur with your position.
I do not "define the Church as the Roman Catholic sect." Baptism is how one is initiated into the Church. "born again," as Scripture says, "of water and the Holy Spirit." . If you are Baptized "in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit," we recognize your Baptism.
That's not just Mrs Don-o's opinion. That is what the Catholic Catechism, basing itself on Scripture, says about it.
I have always said that; I have always recognized Protestants, Evangelicals, and other non-Catholics as Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
If you did not know that before, you know it now.
You say:
>>[mom md] "I would not commune at the Roman altar out of respect for you as well as not wishing to join in what I feel are unbiblical beliefs. I would think you would offer my denomination the same respect."
There we agree.

To: Mrs. Don-o
You are in disagreement with a good majority of your fellow RCs on these threads and much of Roman Catholicism based on this post.

We've tolerated a lot of your behavior in these threads.
As I said....step off that high horse.
Once again, you state a falsehood. The Church has always taught that baptized non-Catholics are brethren, but separated brethren.
Mrs. Don-o is correct; you are in the wrong, as usual.
Interesting because i have been told on many threads there is no salvation outside the Roman church....
Yet you have labeled non Roman Catholics as heretics. So which is it. Heretic or separated brethren?
Both. Why do you think we call them separated?
Its ok. I will proudly and firmly stand in and for the truth of Jesus Christ as revealed in Holy Scripture. If that makes me a heretic in your eyes then right back atcha.
That is correct. That's why the Church prayers for the conversion of the separated brethren, plus the muslims, jews, hindus, etc.
Weve also been told as mommd notes there is no salvation outside of the Roman Catholic Church.
As Roman Catholicism wrongly teaches baptism is what saves vs the NT teaching of salvation through belief in only Christ the two positions are incompatible.
Futher, if Rome says this then it has changed positions on this issue. Thats a big shift for the denomination that claims it hasnt changed since the 1st century.
Actually, I don’t care what you think about me.
I care about what God thinks about me.
I have never accused you of following Luther. I have accused of not favoring his “religion”, yet supporting his revolt.
Well at least we agree on something
I am a confessional Lutheran. I follow Jesus Christ not Luther. As did Luther.
That’s what Luther thought, too.
Thats what Luther knew after spending years chasing works righteousness and idolatry along with trying to buy salvation through indulgences in the Roman church. He found the simple Truth of the Gospel in Scripture and freed himself and millions of others from a corrupt manmade system that robs its adherents of the joyful assurance of their salvation in Christ among other things.
Oh dang, I about spit out my wine on that! lol
Youve. Got. To. Be. Kidding.
Nobody mentioned Luther until ealgeone did in post #51.
I recommend you take up your defense of Lutheranism with ealgeone.
