In John 2:16-20 The Jews had in mind in plain literal terms His Father's House, which He and they reckoned to be the Temple of stones; but in those verses He had in mind in plain literal terms His Own body of flesh and bone, a visible tabernacle wherein met His Soul ans Spirit. Though His disciples came to recognize this conundrum when God raised His body from the state of total inactivity, it was only later that they grasped the metaphorical figurative-literal concept of the local believers assembled in His Name who exist as a unified Living Temple built of living human "stones," whose solidity was/is conferred by the spiritual truth, "Thou art The Christ, the Son of The Living God."
The first unification of such a figurative-literal building occurred on the morning of the first Pentecost feast-day following the Resurrection day of His plain-literal human tabernacle of flesh and bone in which His Soul and Spirit was again resident and alloyed with.
We are, as regenerate individuals, external to His plain-literal body, which is a bit different from the picture presented in Post 37.
