One of Britains leading Anglican clerics has sparked controversy by casting doubts over the Resurrection of Jesus just days before Easter.
The Archbishop of Wales, John Davies, has been accused of sowing confusion over the biblical story that will be celebrated by millions around the world today.
Asked in an interview about the New Testament account of Jesus rising from the tomb, the Archbishop said: I dont think any of us actually knows, quite frankly.
He told online magazine Christian Today that it was terribly hard for people to grasp the idea of a bodily resurrection.
The 65-year-old Archbishop, who was elected in September to head the Church in Wales the Welsh equivalent of the Church of England said something radical had happened that had changed peoples lives.

Oh, I believe that about being on their knees, it’s just that they’re not doing theology...
This is why more churches are going empty. Its not people losing their faith, it is religious hucksters driving them out.
He requires the sign of Jonah to believe, its unlikely that would persuade him even if he could figure out what Jesus spoke about,
It’s an interesting process of theological subversion that has progressed over many years, even wearing down on whatever resolve there was in a long experienced Christian clergyman.
We see the attacks on Christianity as trained against non-Christians and members of Christian congregations, but those attacks have always been most interested in influencing the clergy most of all. Get to the leaders and the sheeple will follow.
