Most Iowans, people of faith and no faith, believe in and are standing with every womans right to be in control of their bodies and the healthcare decisions that impact their lives. We stand with Iowa women, too, What if men said they had a right to choose not be responsible for babies they fathered? The response would appropriately be 'you should have thought about that before you had unprotected sex' with your body. Why is it then different for women? They had the exact same opportunity the men had, to make the responsible decision and make a choice about how they used their bodies - before having unprotected sex.

Ask abortion advocates that.

Hate that word "unprotected." It is a euphemism for spayed - impaired -sabotaged - "fixed." First, that's not honest sex. Second, in the big picture, it doesn't even work. Contraceptives typically reduce the probability of conception
per act, while increasing the frequency of the acts, because people feel they can fork with impunity. Hence (this is true, ya could look it up) whenever a new group of people starts using contraceptives, the contraceptive-rate, the non-marital birthrate, AND the abortion-rate go up in tandem.
Counter-intuitive, I know, but it's true. It's just another example of the intended results being way outpaced by the unintended consequences.

Unprotected or not (Because babies happen from both), women are responsible for their actions and MUST BE REQUIRED to be responsible for the babies that come about because of their choices.
