Anyone out there who is teaching children about virtue might be interested in the following:

Lumen Ecclesiae Press publishes a whole series of catechetical texts for children and adults under Disciple of Christ: Education in Virtue. They have a teacher’s manual on the virtues that blew me away in how ready-made it was for lesson planning. Here’s their website: https://educationinvirtue.com The authors are teaching nuns. They really know what they’re doing.

I also just bought their The Paschal Mystery of Christ Lenten Journal at a Catholic bookstore here in town and I think it’s excellent. Not only is it well thought-out but it is profusely illustrated in color with classic Catholic art. It’s beautiful.

Monsignor Pope is excellent. But for a very thorough and excellent discussion, I suggest Josef Pieper, “The Four Cardinal Virtues.”
