Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

I had a job once that I really hated. I stuck it out for seven years, because my Dad had originally recommended me for the job, and I didn't want to disappoint him, or make him look bad with "The Company". The job was so stressful that I dealt with it in ways that were detrimental to my own health. Finally, I did the most stupid, self-destructive thing I could have done at the time...I freaked out and called the boss a four-letter word. Of Course, I was FIRED (and rightly so!). Swimming in shame, riding down the dimly-lit elevator, pacing down the grey marble walls of the lobby, and skulking out through the building's revolving door, I was suddenly thrust into the bright sunlight of Downtown Boston. The gloom departed, and I felt as though a huge weight had been lifted off. I practically skipped to the Subway!

As wonderful as I felt when I was "delivered" from that awful job, it was nothing compared to the exaltation and joy that I experienced a number of years later, when I was delivered from the slavery of sin and shame, and brought into God's Marvelous Light. My "deliverance" from "The Company" was but a pale foreshadow if this Wonderful Event!

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

Joining in prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem

Sometimes quitting (or getting fired/laid off) can be quite liberating. Eventually, other opportunities open up and you were delivered from worse things if you stayed.)

Recently, re-watched Fiddler on the Roof set in 1905. It seemed sad Tevye and his family and friends were caught up in a pogrom and evicted from Anatevka in Russia. But Tevye heads for America about 1906 or 7. And knowing history, that move delivered them from World War One, 1914, the Russian Revolution, 1917, the mass starvation of Stalin’s engineered famine in the 1930s.

Interesting that you should bring that up.

“The Company” no longer exists.

The Building was sold in 2009, and caused a howl in the art and history community, as it has been renovated and the address changed, and historical Art-Deco Murals and lobby features have been removed and placed in storage.

And I’m still here.

Looking back, it works out.

My husband and I were working in aerospace in CA in 2007. I wanted to work a few more years. But much crap, some unfair, happened. Both lost our jobs to loss of a billion dollar contract. Husband got transferred to CO, but because of some more strange things, retired and we to move to WY.

Wanted to be a writer, husband wanted to live in WY. We both got our wish. CA is going crap. Sad for it is a great state run in ground by crooked politicians. And we have enough - and enough is a feast.

And look what is going on in the county I left but two years ago.

I truly believe that I was “delivered” out of what would have been a HORRENDOUS environment for me, a licensed gun owner and conservative activist, whose livelihood was dependent upon the very people we are seeing on the news.

Praying that the Revealer manifests Himself to the Israelites as their Deliverer.
