Thanks for sharing this news. Francis is an old man and will soon go to his judgement and find out whether or not he should have knelt before the Lord.

Rumours that Francis has knee-problems have proven to be false Thou shalt not lie.
False Pope.

"Rumours that Francis has knee-problems have proven to be false since he has knelt on several occasions in front of refugees on Holy Thursday or when visiting an Anglican shrine in Uganda in November 2015." Is this entirely fair? I have Rheumatoid and Osteo arthritis, and sometimes I have a lot of pain and stiffness, and sometimes not. There are flare-ups and remissions. If somebody in the parish put me under hostile surveillance and recorded inconsistencies in my sitting, standing and kneeling, I'd suspect there was an unkind bias on the part of the critic.
I can think of substantive things we *have* to criticize Pope Francis for, especially and above all trying to introduce formal heresy into the Ordinary Magisterium via that "Amorphous Laetitia" material that was just published (Dec 2017) over Parolin's signature in the AAS.
That's what we should concentrate on. Not prayer-posture issues.
Join me, please, in praying for old Tio Jorge's well-being, conversion, redemption. Just what we should want, also, for ourselves.

I have Rheumatoid and Osteo arthritis, and sometimes I have a lot of pain and stiffness, and sometimes not.But do your remissions occur only on Holy Thursdays or when you're the main celebrity in non-catholic venues?

Did he change the rule for the entire Church: “From now on, we all stand?” No, he didn’t. He has chosen to stand, without explaining. Is he emulating the America-haters who knelt for the national anthem?
Is he actually an atheist? Why does he protect gays so much? Why does he love muzzies so much? Why does he carry around with him Catholic Guilt?

This is nothing new. He had been washing women's feet on Holy Thursday for years in Argentinia, in violation of Church law.
He continued to do so, when he became pope, but still in violation.
Solution: He changed the law.
After all, he has said, "I say this because it is my Church."
Full context: We Catholics have some and not some, many who believe they possess the absolute truth and go ahead dirtying the other with calumny, with disinformation, and doing evil. They do evil. I say this because it is my Church.

I usually sit (toward the front edge of the pew bench) when kneeling is called for, because when trying to get up from kneeling, I tend to pitch way over to the left. Kind-hearted people make a grab for me but it's all rather disruptive.
If I were the pope -- ha --- I realize I would have clerics to my right and left to get me up and down gracefully, as they did for Pope John Paul when the pain and difficulty of moving were strikingly severe.
My larger point is that we should think no evil --- when it's possible to think no evil. Justice requires that we don't always impute the worst motives when there is an element of uncertainty.
Pope Francis needs to be confronted to his face about formal heresy. Over and over again. Let nothing distract us from that.

I tell you.....some of you Roman Catholics have the heart of a....well, I'm not sure.
I just hope when you are older that you never have Mrs D's condition or possibly what the pope has.
Ya'll may hate the guy.....but he's still a person. Have a little compassion.
Good thing Jesus didn't walk by people and say some of things you and your other heartless Roman Catholic have about Mrs. D. and the pope regarding their health.
