I’m hoping to go from Catholic to Eastern Orthodox - I fall into the rare group I suppose.

When I left Methodism, I gave Eastern Orthodox some serious thought. I respect them.

Have you considered some of the traditional Anglican churches?

RE: My question on Tradition Anglicanism - here’s a listing roundup of many options complied by a Freeper - don’t know that all the links are current, but it’s a good reference/resource.

Ugh...
The Catholic church (the organization, not the institution) is such a mess now.
I have been seriously thinking about SSPX, EO, Judaism...
Or just worshipping in my own private way.
Not so much rare as ignored. FTR I too swam the Bosporus. It will be twelve years this Great and Holy Saturday. There are quite a few of us.
I know of quite a few people who have gone from Catholic to Eastern Orthodox. This is only an observation - not a set of statistics - but it must count for something. Most congregations of the Orthodox churches are aware of new members. Some are even somewhat puzzled by it, as they can be (I say with affection) rather parochial in outlook, rather close to their ethnic communities.
