A sophomore at an independent Catholic school in Greenwich, Connecticut, has been permitted to remain at her school and display her sticker that says, I Stand with Planned Parenthood.
The school has reversed their earlier decision and is allowing Kate to leave the sticker on her laptop, Tracy Murray, mother of Kate Murray, announced, according to Greenwich Time. Kate has chosen to continue to display the sticker and is happy to remain a part of such a special community. We are moved by the outpouring of support by the alumnae and the community at large and are heartened by its encouragement of one young womans voice.
Kate had originally been told she would have to remove her sticker in support of the abortion giant in order to remain a student at Sacred Heart.
However, in explaining the reversal of the decision, Sacred Heart Head of School Pamela Juan Hayes says the issue of Kate openly supporting the nations largest provider of abortions in a Catholic school was one of freedom of expression.
In an op-ed at the Stamford Advocate titled Nurturing Freedom of Expression at Sacred Heart, Hayes, also an alumna of the school, wrote Sacred Heart has been dealing with such important issues as freedom of expression, diversity of thought and mutual respect under intense media scrutiny.

WWGS . . . . What Would God Say?
The Murrays are DANCING ON THE TRAPDOORS OF HELL! WHAT HORRIBLE PARENTS!!
The parents set the whole thing up. The mother is trying to make a name for herself in Dem politics in CT, while the daughter will use this for her college admissions essay. The school prudently ignored the girl’s attention-seeking nonsense, so the family leaked the whole thing to the press. Notice there’s no backstory about how this became an issue in the first place? Do you think even solid, orthodox Catholic schools allow themselves to be jerked around by dopey students who put offensive stickers on laptops? This was all contrived by this obnoxious family. The school didn’t take the bait for months, so the family used connections to blow it up in the press. Believe me, I am as cynical as they come about rank-and-file Catholics, but this was contrived from beginning to end by these disgusting parents. The school was wise to say very little...for now. The girl and her parents were ready to play up the martyr angle to an even greater degree, yet now they can’t. However, revenge is a dish best served cold.
Horrible parents, horrible people...don’t blame the school...read below.
Sacred Heart betrays its own name and God, with all the martyrs of the ages, in the same breath.
The treacherous are actually on the inside now, happier to please the enemies of God than to suffer, when they can, even a hang nail in His name.
It’s simple.
The church just says no to the spoiled brat and offers her to leave and join another school.
No feel good “we care about your rights” like the rights of the unborn? Like the rights of schools to set the terms of what goes on in their halls? Or how about just standing up for our faith?
Just say no and be done with it.
Gonna have to serve somebody, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord but youre gonna have to serve somebody.Bob Dylan
Bobby got it right.
All this mess started with Vatican II and now we have Rube Goldberg for a Pope. This will not end well.
You can’t be Catholic and pro-abortion.
The student needs to find another school.
sickening! praying the young lady learns better ASAP! she’s headed to destroying her life
Private schools are not public schools.
Freedom of expression doesnt apply to private businesses and schools. Try that at the private company you work at, and see how long you last.
If she has younger siblings, I hope the school makes sure they don’t go there...how disgusting.
Again, do NOT be fooled: this whole controversy was contrived. I went to a similar Catholic girls school not far from this one more than thirty years ago. Whatever its flaws, it was both a good school academically and faithful to Catholicism. The people who ran it were to wise to get lured into controversies about what dopey teenage girls scribbled on their notebooks, for example. This whole thing was ginned up.
The religious orders are all gay. You must be referring to Diocesan priests or sspx.
