As reported earlier this week, the Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Washington, DC, passed a resolution to stop using masculine pronouns for God in future updates to its Book of Common Prayer.
The resolution to "avoid the use of gendered pronouns for God" was passed quickly by delegates to the Diocese's 123rd Convention.
To be sure, this is not the first group to move in the direction of "gender-inclusive" language when it comes to the deity.

He, and i mean “He”, is not going to be pleased.
So if God is gender-nominative, then how will we describe “it girls” of yore? Will they be called “It its?”

This is not funny, and yet I can’t help laughing.
I am given to believe JESUS is a male. JESUS is God with us ... ergo, GOD, HE, is my Savior. Don’t know who or what is the savior for these blasphemous freaks.
I had someone tell me that it meant *Breasted one*.
I thought that was odd, and just kind of blew it off.
El shaddai means “God of the heavens.”
They are wrong in their interpretation of the word, but I imagine that in attempting to ascribe a physical appearance to a spiritual being, God would have a breast:
“...and having on the breastplate of righteousness...”
Of course He has no physical body, in spite of Jesus sitting at His right hand! (I’m guessing that the term “right hand” has a deeper meaning, more of a position of authority, rather than any physical thing.)
I love learning about the deeper meaning of the Greek words. I asked my pastor about the verse where the leper went to Jesus to be healed, and it said Jesus was indignant - and then healed him.
The pastor didn’t know if it was the same word in the verse I asked him about, but he said it is probably from the Greek word “????? (I don’t recall now)”, which translates to “makes me sick”. Jesus could have been so upset at the leper’s plight that he felt it in his gut, and healed him.
Or he said - Jesus may have looked at the Pharisees that ignored the leper, and looking at them with the look of “YOU make me sick!!” and then healing the leper.
WE DON’T NEED Gender inclusive language. Sick of tearing apart our vocabulary for queer reasons.
Well said. This nonsense is simply Communists destroying Christianity. The Pope is part of the problem, if not the instigator of it all.
If you can’t tell I am joking, I advise you to acquire a personality.
Amen! :-)
Thanks. :-)
Also, John lay on Jesus’ breast and no that wasn’t gay, it was extreme brother. It doesn’t need to mean female! It can mean “I care from the heart.”
"Son of Man" is out.
And what will they call the Holy Trinity - "Parent/Child/Holy Ghost"?????
