Bill is being silly...in order to discuss Christianity objectively you cannot assume the existence of God because he very nature is unknowable. If you do you cease being objective.

Peterson comes at it from an academic debate perspective that allows him to discuss it with nonbelievers in terms of ideas.

If he came from a belief perspective he would not be an academic, he would be an evangelist.

I realize that Peterson is no Evangelist, he doesn’t claim to be one, and I don’t accuse him of being one. He is an academic, and a Jungian. What I said is that this is what people interested in his Bible teaching should be mindful of. Is there anything wrong with that?I give Peterson a lot of credit for what he is...

We can only know about God that which he chooses to reveal of himself. And he reveals this by general and special revelation. The general revelation is what he reveals about himself through his creation. One thing God clearly reveals in his creation is that he (God) exists. Thus, we can and should assume the existence of God because he is clearly reveal by the objective revelation of his creation.
