I wonder whether the decline in Methodist membership (along with Presbyterians and Episcopalians) is due more to their embrace of liberal theology or because church membership in the US is declining as a whole?

The constant left turn certainly was a large part of the reason I left them. Probably second only to the stunning amount of political corruption in the administration I was exposed to. Even after five years I can’t trust myself to be in the same building with one pastor in particular.
