I don't know a whole lot about TFP (except the old canard, "TFP means: Traditionally, our Families own the Property"). I've only ever seen then at the March for Life, where the drums and the big red banners and golden lions add a kind of Carlist splendor.

I'd think the percussionists would pose a bigger public disorder than the rosaries.

Well, nobody has ever had a rosary injury, to my knowledge.

The Carlist stuff in its day was not a good thing, though, and as you know, in the 19th century there was a long-running war in Northern Spain over this. Oddly enough, that is actually what gave birth to ETA, because the Carlists abandoned the Church and turned to a bizarre regional nationalism which, as in Ireland, was taken over by Marxists in the 60s.

TFP doesn’t seem to be into that now, and if they are actually doing pro-life things, it seems to me that perhaps a younger generation has taken over and refocused on things that are genuinely Catholic.
