I’ve heard the same thing here as has every former Catholic.
I’ve actually been told that they *knew* I left the Catholic church because of my (alleged) former divorce.
Got some nasty FReepmails about it.

Similar experience after my divorce (I didn't initiate it, she did ...) which certainly demonstrates the "love thy neighbor" commandment Jesus left us with doesn't it?
Not that I'm perfect myself mind you, it just seems that the harshest vitriol on here is from alleged catholics to former catholics.

A divorce does not make you un-Catholic. It’s re-marriage that is the problem.
