According to the new Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., the Gideons received approval in February of 1941 to give Bibles to anyone in the Armed Forces who wanted them. Bibles were distributed on 12/2/41 to those serving in Pearl Harbor. Several of the bodies that were recovered from the water had those Bibles in their back pockets. Without any other words than these: God is awesome.
