Actually there is and some consider it typographical error down through the ages and some modern computer writings autocorrect it, but take a closer look. Sometimes the Bible refers to the holy city/great city and other times it refers to the Holy City.
Right now Jerusalem would be the holy city, even after Trumps announcement. In fact we’re about to see the holy city trampled by the gentiles. Another prophecy fulfillment. Whatever Hebrew/Jewish relics remain are going to destroyed. I agree with the editorial author that the clocks is now ticking. Between events in Syria, China announcing their jumping into the Syrian conflict, North Korean threats, Russia recognizing Jerusalem as the Capital and now the United States...
The world changed radically again yesterday as Trump’s declaration recognized Jerusalem’s Capital. He didn’t quite recognize it as the Holy City.

I always saw ‘trodden under foot of the Gentiles” to represent the era of foreign domination which arguably ended in 1948, but with the continued division of Jerusalem points to a unified Jerusalem.
Therefore, President Trump’s decision could lead to that.
