Should we be worried that a Jesuit Pope is offering, as a pastoral approach for the whole Church, the experience of the charism of accompaniment and discernment developed by St. Ignatius of Loyola in his Spiritual Exercises ? This charism, which has been widely recognized and celebrated for centuries, is implemented effectively in the Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia, especially in chapter 8 dealing with the journeys of persons in situations deemed irregular. [1] For us bishops we find here a vast open field for the pastoral conversion that Francis has promoted since his flagship Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium of 2013 which sought an effective missionary transformation of the Church (EG 19-49).
I am convinced that AL is a prime example of the Ignatian charism in practice, according to a pastoral approach that unreservedly presupposes the ideal of the Gospel of the family (AL 60, 200) but that begins solidly with peoples lived experience, relying above all on the grace that is at work in them; an approach that accompanies their discernment with attention to a rightly ordered conscience and affections so that discernment, both personal and ecclesial, might truly lead to a decision that favours the good and that is possible here and now - even if, in the case of objectively irregular situations, there is still progress to be made towards the full attainment of Gods will in their lives, and full integration into the sacramental life of the community. This very brief description of the dynamic of the Spiritual Exercises as applied to the family in AL is based on a concrete and personalist anthropology that refers back to the general guidelines of the Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium.

True strength only comes through weakness.
Per the article
Francis desires that pastors should devote themselves to listening compassionately as they acknowledge the diversity of circumstances with an approach which carefully discerns situations (AL 298). He wishes pastors and the faithful who are affected by these problems to meet each other, to speak, and to help each other understand and apply more adequately the canonical norms as they rely on the Holy Spirit who is at work in every persons life, even those living in a sinful situation.
Excellent advice.
That’s right!
Let’s us just discern the Ten Commandments to our own likings.
Remember what Jesus said, He came to save, not to judge.
they rely on the Holy Spirit who is at work in every persons life, even those living in a sinful situation.
We need to rely more on allowing the Holy Spirit guiding us.
Remember the Apostle's Creed?
He ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I prefer Jesus’ own words.
Judgement is not something assigned to you. If you are pure, the fire will not harm you. If you are not, it is unbearable.
Are you even a Catholic?
If so, it appears you reject both the Apostle’s Creed and the Nicene Creed.
Here are the words from John 12:47
If anyone hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge that person. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day. 49 For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken. 50 I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.
I understand what Jesus means by judgement. In many ways it is like learning to swim. You are taught and given many opportunities to learn and to practice. Then one day comes a huge flood and if you can’t swim you drown. You are not judged per se, except for the reality that falls upon you. Jesus does not pick the winners and losers by judgement. You determine the outcome by following His teachings.
Read Luke 9:54 below. HEAVEN IS FIRE FOR ANYONE UNCLEAN
That is how it will be when Heaven is on earth. If you have not learned Jesus’ teachings you will be tested with the fire of Heaven.

2 Peter 3:7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.
2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.
2 Peter 3:12 as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat.

Matthew 3:11 I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
Matthew 3:12 His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
Matthew 5:22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, Raca, is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, You fool! will be in danger of the fire of hell.
Matthew 13:40 As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age.
Luke 3:16 John answered them all, I baptize you with water. But one who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
Luke 9:54 When the disciples James and John saw this, they asked, Lord, do you want us to call fire down from heaven to destroy them?

Have you never been filled with the Holy Spirit? It is like fire when it moves into you. It burns off your sins as the Great Helper. If you have too many sins, or you hold on to your sins, it burns you.
I have died, experienced the fire of Heaven and returned to my physical body. Just as Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were thrown in the fire and it did not harm them, so it will be for those people who have followed Jesus’ Way.
Or Jesus’ words in Luke 12:
49 I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! 50 But I have a baptism to undergo, and what constraint I am under until it is completed! 51 Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division.
Why do you think Moses saw God as fire in the burning bush?
This is why a prayerful blessing to an evil person is like placing hot coals upon their head. Romans 12:20 On the contrary: If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.
The judgement is the environment you are in.
I see the Holy Spirit as liquid fire. It is real. But it is a fraction of the brightness of the fire in Heaven and is the reason we view God as Light. God’s fire is wonderful beyond words of description. I’ve been there and did not want to return.
You didn’t answer the question:
“Are you a Catholic?”
If you not, please stop violating a catholic caucus.
And why is that question important? I am Catholic and read and study the writings of Catholics on a daily basis. Completed catechism too. Do I attend mass? Not too frequently any more. I’m more into substance and experience than ritual.
I am Christian and accept Jesus as my Savior. More important, I know Jesus and would follow Him blindly as His Love for me (and mine for Him) is unconditional and beyond words of description. I experience Him daily, and miss Him in between.
Is your heart is hard with judgement of others? If you say you Love God but do not Love your neighbor, you are a liar... according to Peter.
I think it was important because I have seen no other Catholic refute the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds.
You don't experience him daily, let alone weekly, if you attend Mass not too frequently. You appear to be a prime example of a "cafeteria catholic".
“please stop violating a catholic caucus.”
By the way, I was agreeing with the teachings as written in the original post. My cut and paste was directly from the lesson and my comment was excellent comment. I was supporting Cardinal Marc Oullet’s words verbatum. You took exception and criticized the words from the article you posted!!!!! They were not my words. Your anger and judgement appears to be clouding your mind.
I even placed the words, “Per the article” prior to my comment.
Do you not read the words in the article you post before you post it?
Feel your heart right now as the answer to my previous question is evident.
Hate to break it to you, but the Holy Spirit is God. Your description of His fire's light being only a fraction of the light of God's fire is a direct attack on the Holy Trinity.
Despite what you claim, I don't think you're a Catholic by the statements you have made.
I will say an extra prayer for you, and I ask that you please do the same for me. Prayers are always welcome.
“is a direct attack on the Holy Trinity.”
Please explain as I do not see that.
I see the Holy Spirit as part of God. I see Jesus as part of God. Part of does not mean equality. The whole is much greater than the sum of it’s parts.
How can the creation be equal to the Creator? “Jesus frequently said My Father and I are One.” He did not say “My Father and I are equal.”
You never here of Jesus speaking through God, only of God speaking through Jesus.
Jesus was very clear in His words that He was a servant of His Father.
