Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem
Meditating Upon The Names and Attributes of God
Elohei Avraham....The God of Abraham
(Old Testament)
Exodus 3:15
15 God also said to Moses, Say to the Israelites, The Lord,[a] the God of your fathersthe God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacobhas sent me to you.
This is my name forever,
the name you shall call me
from generation to generation.
Footnotes:
1. Exodus 3:15 The Hebrew for Lord sounds like and may be related to the Hebrew for I am in verse 14.
3. (End of Scripture Passage)
Elohei Avraham....The God of Abraham
The Word Of God is Quite Specific when Moses asks the LORD to identify Himself. He clearly states that He is The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The other members of Abraham's large family (Ishmael, Esau, etc)are not mentioned in this litany. Could it be , that even as far back as the time of the Patriarchs, that Ishmael and Esau had ALREADY strayed from the worship of the One True God? It is a point to ponder when confronted with arguments that we "all worship the same God". From this Passage, one could infer that it is NOT the case.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem
Our Father
WE Know You Are The One True God
You are the God Of Abraham,
of Isaac, and Of Jacob.
And, Just as Abraham was called out of the pagan land of Ur,
We also are called out of the world.
To Bless those Children of Abraham,
Whom YOU have designated as the Children of the Promise,
And love them as You do.
May the Leaders of Our Own Beloved USA
Receive Wisdom from You
to do the Right Thing.
We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
Hallelujah and Amen

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem
Ami the Tour Guide showed deepening concern on his face as he spoke in Hebrew on the two-way radio. "OK, OK," he said, and then turned to the bus full of Evangelical Ministers. "We can go to Hevron today," he said, "But Stay TOGETHER and DON'T LEAVE THE GROUP!"
With that, the bus crossed over into the "West Bank" and we were on our way to the Tomb of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and their wives Sarah, Rebecca, and Leah. (Jacob's beloved Rachel had died in childbirth on the way to Bethlehem, and we had visited her tomb already). When we got to the Tomb of the Patriarchs, we had to leave our shoes outside and go up a narrow stairway (which a few years later were the scene of a terrible terror attack) and walk through a Mosque to pass into the "Jewish" side of the building. Monuments to the patriarchs were erected in the Mosque, but the actual "tomb" is in a cave underneath.
Now, I am not a fan of "haunted house stories" or "ghost-hunting TV shows", but there was a spiritual heaviness and atmosphere of darkness in that mosque that did not lift until we passed through and entered the little synagogue on the other side of the building. Not to get all "spooky" on you, but in my heart, I was able to discern some very nasty evil in the room. It was over 35 years ago and I can still remember it.
The odd thing is that the site is 100% Jewish and should NOT have a mosque there at all. The ancient stones of the building are beveled in the distinctive Herodian Style, also visible on the Western Wall at the Temple Mount. It is 100% accepted by ALL faiths that These people are buried there:
Abraham and Sarah (NOT Hagar)
Isaac (NOT Ishmael) and Rebecca,
Jacob (NOT Esau) and Leah.
So, although Moslems claim lineage to Abraham, their claim goes through Hagar, Ishmael, and Esau, NOT the people who are buried in THAT particular tomb. When International "diplomacy" makes decisions, they leave out these very important facts.
Oh...there were two other places on earth that I encountered the same "spirit" that I discerned for the first time in Hebron. The next instance was when I tried to enter The Dome of the Rock a week later, and the third time was years later, when I attempted to touch an exhibit in the War Museum in Hampton Roads VA. The exhibit exuded the evil, and my hand was repulsed as if by a force field.
It wasn't until I looked at the card next to the exhibit that I realized what it was.
It was one of the gates from Dachau Concentration Camp.

In this case, being in the presence of such evil was quite palpable.

Good story.

Yikes, especially about the gate of evil! Evil = hate = death
So this connects to your initial post as well as your comments:
15 God also said to Moses, Say to the Israelites, The Lord,[a] the God of your fathersthe God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacobhas sent me to you.
This is my name forever,
the name you shall call me
from generation to generation.
This is a nice reminder of just what it is about Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob that makes them match the One True God.
Truth is eternal; it never dies. The God of the living is the God of truth. Love and live, because love begets life.
The verb to love, and how it first appears in the Torah, is a pattern based upon Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Ahav (v. love): alef hei bet, which are the numerals 1, 5, and 2.
The pattern of the word itself shows up in the usage, in order of the verses about the Patriarchs' loving:
(א) Abraham - 1x
(ה) Isaac - 5x
(ב) Jacob - 2x
It's obvious by reading down the verse list.
The pattern also reflects the meanings and natural flow of the letters themselves in that order:
Alef = the first one (Abraham, the first Hebrew)
Hei = to give seed* (in Isaac is Abraham's seed called)
Bet = house (Jacob, the House of Israel)
*hei lachem zera (v. 23):
Gen 26:12. Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year an hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him:
Gen 47:23. Then Joseph said to the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh; lo, here is seed for you, and you shall sow the land:
from generation to generation.
Family lines: seedlings, trees... fruit
Maybe that's an indication of why the word pardes (Paradise) is the word for orchard. Also for what was created on the *third day*: seeds, seed-bearing trees.
Luke 24:45-46 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, 46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

I have had that experience myself several times—once in a relative’s house!
Praying with you for God’s favor to manifest in Israel and, as you have prayed, for all Israel to acknowledge the Lord as the One who gave them that land.
