Why would ANYONE take ANY job that compromises their deeply felt morals and beliefs?

You know, like that 0bama guy...

The extreme majority of abortions are elective procedures. Medical professionals refuse to perform elective procedures all the time (radical mastectomies of healthy tissue, excessive plastic sugery, preventative root canals and implants, et al.). Abortions that aren’t elective, say to save the life of the mother, are not prohibited by the Catholic church.

Science says that life begins at conception, the heart beats at 6 weeks and the ability to perceive pain is still a gray area before the third trimester. With that stated, medical professionals should not be compelled to participate in procedures deemed personally abhorrent, and there’s loooong history of doctors and nurses not participating in abortions, forced sterilizations, etc. on moral grounds.
