There is no “midpoint” to the trib.
It is a 42 month tribulation of the saints by Satan. ending when Yeshua gathers his Bride.
That gathering is about 7 years away, and no cockamamie theory is going to change that; Yehova has a plan, and that plan is shown to us in his appointed times, not men’s chomping at the bit.

The midpoint that people refer to is the point at which it becomes obvious that the peace deal has been a fake and that the one the Jews were accepting as the Messiah is not the Messiah because he is demanding that he be worshipped as God.
So there are three and a half years of supposedly peaceful coexistence and then another three and a half years of horrible tribulation.
One might figure that God would redeem us at the midpoint, but the church is no longer mentioned at all after the beginning of the seven years. From that point on, it is all about Israel and not about us. Thus the belief in the pre-Trib Rapture.

Daniel 9:27
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
