Special Prophecy Update – September 3rd, 2017

Pastor J.D. talks about two aspects of Hurricane Harvey, first as it relates to the prophetic implication and second the personal application specifically related to the problem of pain and human suffering.

Why bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people

First off: Matthew 19:17 So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, ELoHIM. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”

We all have merits and we all have sins (debts) and YHVH rewards measure for measure. When the righteous have problems it's because we pay for our sins here on earth, and when the balance is even we enter into the kingdom of heaven. When the wicked have good things happen to them they're rewarded in this life for their merits, and when the balance is even, oops...

Yeshua fulfills prophesy

16 Now when evening came, His disciples went down to the sea, 17 got into the boat, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was already dark, and Jesus had not come to them. 18 Then the sea arose because a great wind was blowing. 19 So when they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near the boat; and they were afraid. 20 But He said to them, “It is I; do not be afraid.” 21 Then they willingly received Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land where they were going.

Psalm 107:23 Those who go down to the sea in ships, Who do business on great waters, 24 They see the works of the Lord, And His wonders in the deep. 25 For He commands and raises the stormy wind, Which lifts up the waves of the sea. 26 They mount up to the heavens, They go down again to the depths; Their soul melts because of trouble. 27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, And are at their wits’ end. 28 Then they cry out to the Lord in their trouble, And He brings them out of their distresses. 29 He calms the storm, So that its waves are still. 30 Then they are glad because they are quiet; So He guides them to their desired haven.

Yeshua writes in the earth

John 8:3 Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, 4 they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” 6 This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.

7 So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” 8 And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground.

Jeremiah 17:13 O Lord, the hope of Israel, All who forsake You shall be ashamed. “Those who depart from Me Shall be written in the earth, Because they have forsaken the Lord, The fountain of living waters.”
