Christ never said I is the vine or I is the Branch
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
Is is not the same as am.
Except that Christ said this is my body. He never said this represents my body. Show me from Scripture that Christ said this represents my body
I absolutely deny it. That kind of wooden literalism misses the spiritual point being made. The Gospel of John records seven figurative declarations Jesus made of Himself — “the bread of life” (6:48), “the light of the world” (8:12), “the door” (10:9), “the good shepherd” (10:11), “the resurrection and the life” (11:25), “the way, the truth and the life” (14:6), and “the true vine” (15:1). He also referred to His body as the temple (2:19).
I am not sure if you know this, but “am” and “is” are both renditions of the verb”to be”. I “am” is first person singular and he/she/it “is” is second person singular. I M reminded of the Princess Bride:”That word you keep using... I don’t think it means what you think it means”
Correct.
“He is”, “I am”, “You are” are metaphor.
“like”, “as a”, are simile.
Shoot, even “Fletch Lives” got that one correct (leftist Chevy Chase notwithstanding”.
“It was like an alligator shoe on the freeway. If you’ll forgive the metaphor”.
“It’s a simile, to be precise”.
“She’s a brick house”. Is she actually a brick house? No, it’s metaphor. If we can go to disco or R&B. Notice, I did not use rap, for it butchers the English language; suitable for low-I.Q. consumption.
Is is not am.
look at the words is and am in Scripture. I am the vine does not mean I is the vine.
s/b (leftist Chevy Chase notwithstanding).
God gave us a brain.. Christ did not slit his wrists and collect blood, nor did He chop off any of His flesh. He used wine literally and unleavened bread, literally.
Yes. You are confusing 'is' with 'am'
That’s because the word is never belongs to the word I and am never belongs to he/she/it. It’s simple verb conjugation, friend.
It was a sign to Daniel's disciples, who were knowledgeable in the scriptures, and understood Biblical astronomy.
John was told to write what was, what is, and what is to come. Chapter 12 of Revelation is a parenthetical look back in time.
Yeshua’s disciples were told exactly which day on the Biblical calendar he would return, but not which year. Tishri 1 is the Biblical date. Dusk is the approximate Jerusalem time, as that is when the new moon of Tishri will appear in the darkening sky.
We now also know the year: 6024.
If you have no desire to know, perhaps you have no desire to know the rest of what the scriptures tell us either. You probably want to live under the mushroom of the “Saved by Grace” lie too.
By the grace of Yehova, Yeshua’s bride will be saved by their faith, which will continue to the end, as is required to be saved at the day of Trumpets (Tishri 1).
.
I think you need to look up the verb “to be” and come back again. It’s the silliest irregular verb in the English language.
Are you even a Catholic? Yes or No?
If "No", it explains a lot.
I think you need to understand the difference between "is " and "am"
'I is the vine' does not mean 'I am the vine'
please show me the difference
Don’t waste your time, I’ll never agree with the papist view. It’s time to fire up the grill, so I’m not having this debate again now. Instead, I’ll link to a short, clear, and well-done presentation of the gospel. If you won’t watch it, I pray someone will. I bet there are many FReepers who realize they are lost and in need of a savior.
.
Imminent is exactly nonsense, as Paul told the Thessalonians.
He listed things that “Must come to pass” before “That day.”
None of those things have yet come to pass.
While we are at the beginning of the apostasy of the “falling away,” The “man of sin” has not yet stood on the mercy seat of the Ark, declaring himself to be “God.”

Enjoy the barby
Once again, is and are simply are two ways of saying the same thing. They are not interchangeable because one belongs to “I” and the other belongs to “he/she/it”. You are thoroughly misapplying them. You are the only person in this thread who has no idea what I am saying here.
Other than you’re a dupe of Rome and a poor exegete, you haven’t shown anything whatsoever. I learned years ago it’s mostly a waste of time to engage these arguments here.
