The Brazilian Bishops Conference allows in new guidelines on Amoris Laetitia the reception of Holy Communion by adulterers, reports cruxnow.com.
The bishops write that after a process of discernment limited cases may return to the sacramental life. As examples the bishops list the existence of children or certain moral circumstances which according to the bishops allegedly annul the moral responsibility of unlawful acts.
These rules invented by the bishops contradict the words of Jesus Christ and the teaching of the Church.
I just want to find a Bible believing church.
“But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”
I have, and even though I’m a septuagenarian, I’m sure I will again for sure.
In that context, we are all going to hell I guess. /s
“annul the moral responsibility of unlawful acts”
Tried to fool me, but failed. This means “turns immoral acts into good acts”. Sorry, but that doesn’t work.
This is in direct contradiction with the Church’s teaching up to Francis. Francis is aware of it, and hasn’t condemned it, so obviously he accepts it. Thus he is not fit to be pope.
So far, I’ve seen the following will admit adulterers To Holy Communion:
Malta (ground zero)
Sicily
Germany
Belgium
Vienna and Vorarlberg, Austria
Reconquista, Argentina
San Jose
San Diego
Washington, D.C.
Chicago
Newark
Rome
Philippines
Anyone have any corrections or additions?
Any bishop who makes it known that unrepentant public sinners will be denied Holy Communion in his diocese always makes the news, so I would hazard a guess that it’s virtually everywhere. Sad times ...
