France: Churches Vanish, Mosques Spring Up
The Gatestone Institute ^ | 8/6/17 | Giulio Meotti

* In the last 30 years, more mosques and Muslim prayer centers have been built in France than all the Catholic churches built in the last century.

* The Church of Santa Rita used to stand in the fifteenth arrondissement of Paris. A few weeks after Father Hamel was murdered by Islamic terrorists, the French police cleared the church. It is now a parking lot. Police dragged the priests out by their legs as a Mass was being celebrated.

* In France there are laws protecting old trees. But the state is free to flatten old Christian churches. The vacuums created in the French landscape are already being filled by the booming mosques. Cowardly French authorities would never treat Islam as they are now treating Christianity.

"France is not a random space... fifteen centuries of history and geography determined its personality. Inscribed in the depths of our landscape, the churches, the cathedrals and other places of pilgrimage give meaning and form to our patriotism. Let us demand our civil authorities to respect it". Two years ago, the French journalist Denis Tillinac promoted this appeal, signed by dozens of French personalities, after some French imams requested the conversion of abandoned churches into mosques.

A year later, terrorists who pledged allegiance to the Islamic State assaulted the Catholic parishioners in the church of great emotion followed the most serious attack on a Christian symbol in Europe since the Second World War.

After that attack, the French authorities prevented many Islamist plots against the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Last June, police shot a Muslim man outside the cathedral after he tried to attack them with a hammer. Another terror cell......

The French learned nothing from Charles Martell at Tours, and for that matter from any other battle they have been part of. It seems the French are nothing more than sybaritic morons, oblivious to the Saracen threat banging on their door.

Pope Marx’ fault.

No, it's not just his fault:

After 20 Years, a Mosque Opens in Catholicism's Back Yard

If the mosque -- the first to be built in the home of the Roman Catholic Church -- has a message, it is one of religious tolerance. And that was the message that Pope John Paul II threw back at the Islamic world today as he hailed the mosque's opening at his weekly general audience in St. Peter's Square.

Pretty sure it started with the French Revolution. Now, there is finally something to fill the vacuum created by the expulsion of Christianity from French life ... and it’s not going to be pretty.

It takes a certain kind of personality to not see Islam for the dark force that it is, and just lump it together with Buddhism and Hinduism, as something exotic that should be given the benefit of the doubt.

To say that Buddhism and Hinduism both have many positive traits, but Islam is pure evil, is the opposite of racist. It’s looking at three non-Western religions objectively, and judging them on their merits.

But too many PC idiots can’t see the difference between a peace loving Buddhist or Hindu, and a hateful, intolerant Muslim.

It’s one of the main reasons why World War III is inevitable.

Let me share an observation from the Arabian peninsula having spent the better part of the last two years working with Moslems: They are very confident in their faith. It is a confidence that, whether they truly believe or not, is not easily shaken. I am planning on heading back to SoCal at the end of this week and will post a vanity with a little more depth. BTW, I do not lie low here with my Catholic Faith, both in my actions and words (plus that big old honking Crucifix I wear 24/7) :)

You are right, it is painful to watch a nation, a proud former empire implode, and, by choice.

It would seem that Europeans prefer the (what Professor Victor Hanson calls), “Latte generation” which means that as long as they can go about their daily, secular, materialistic lives and sip latte in the Coffee houses, all is well.

Just over their reading glasses, just over their cellphones lurks a violent Jihadi ideology about to burst forth from their Trojan Horse.

If Germany re-elects Merkel then it will be the beginning of the end for sure. If, however they oust her in the next elections, there is hope...

C’est la vie . . .

One day they were going into town, and the old woman picked him up and the snake bit her. Repeatedly. “O God,” she screamed, “I am dying! Why? I was your friend. I saved your life! I trusted you! Why did you bite me?”

The snake looked up at her and said, “Lady, you knew I was a snake when you first picked me up.”

I live with the Arabs in Israel.

I live, work with and mingle with what are called “Israeli-Arabs”, “West Bank” Arabs, “Gaza-Arabs”.

I have mingled with Christian Arabs as well.

The VAST MAJORITY of Arabs from these groups call themselves “Palestinain” Arabs which means they identify with the “struggle” which means to wipe the Jews out in more honest terms.

They are confident in their faith as they must be unquestioning and SUBMIT (Islam) to the dictates of that faith, no matter what, on the pain of death. It is a confidence of both belief and FEAR.

Your words suggest that they do not mind your crucifix but that just means you are still very naive for you do not understand that it is an absolute abomination in their eyes and if they could do something about it, they would!

TOLERANCE and COMPROMISE does not exist in their world, just look around you.

My problem with your statements are that you still do not get it.

The Arab Muslims can be exceedingly warm, giving, gracious hosts and very very nice BUT, there is a passage in the TANACH, (Jewish Bible) that says (paraphrasing) “respect the other but be wary”. That means you should pay respect to the Muslim yet watch your back.

This is as it has always been, for as T.E. Lawrence said (at least in the 1962 film with Petere O’Toole):

Sherif Ali: What is your name?

T.E. Lawrence: My name is for my friends. None of my friends is a murderer!

Sherif Ali: You are angry, English. He was nothing. The well is everything. The Hasami may not drink at our wells. He knew that. Salaam. Hut, hut, hut.

T.E. Lawrence: Sherif Ali. So long as the Arabs fight tribe against tribe, so long will they be a little people; a silly people; greedy, barbarous, and cruel, as you are.

Nothing has changed since 1917.
The terms:

little people; a silly people; greedy, barbarous, and cruel

STILL APPLY, UNFORTUNATELY

Ok. Meant to just make a simple observation and I appreciate your comments and am in agreement for the most part with you.
Not naive my FRiend having deployed overseas in the USAF for my first time at 18 years old back in 1971. Lots of military time since then including combat. Most recently here I have been flight testing military aircraft here for a couple of the US allies in the region.
As I said, I plan to write a more in depth vanity upon my return in a week or so. As for your TE Lawrence quote from the 1962 movie, I actually have that video clip on my personal laptop as I also felt it captured the essence of the culture and life over here pretty darn well. Cheers.

Western Christianity’s decline started with Enlightenment thought, and accelerated with Marxism. Church attendance in France is somewhere in the 5-15% range.

When we remove God from the public sphere, teach atheistic principles in schools, enforce atheistic principles in civil and criminal law, there should be no surprise that evil abounds.

Each utilizing the other to destroy their common enemy, there should be no surprise that atheism and Islam collude to destroy the remaining Judeo-Christian strongholds, tradition, history and beliefs. Two factions of evil vying for world domination and the destruction of souls.
