It’s all circular argument. Evangelicals want to ignore Church Tradition, except when it suits them. They admit there is not a single reference in the New Testament that states which books are “inspired”, so they grudgingly admit the early apostles and Church leaders made these decisions. But once the books were selected, the notion of Church leaders being inspired by the Holy Spirit to interpret Scripture and lead the flock suddenly comes to an end. Instead anyone with a divinity degree from a small evangelical college in the hinterlands of North America gets to put their own spin on Scripture and completely disregard the teachings of the early Church leaders (which, by the way, includes teaching about Mary, the Real Presence in the Eucharist, and other foundational Church principles that have been rejected by Evangelicals). The result is a fractured Reformation where you get a different version of the “truth” every time you enter a different church.
I’m not a blind follower of the Catholic Church. It has massive problems and is currently under attack from within by a cabal of evil men. But the Lord’s promise is that the True Church will prevail against all obstacles. Every Christian should be praying for that kind of revival.

Is it me, or is it FR? Quality of discourse has declined, from even a few years ago.
