>>I will add that the constant question of “What does the Lord say” will eventually lead to the revelation that these are just their own ideas. Note they may not admit it but everyone knows.<<

Nowhere in MY Bible does it say anything against exercising, breathing and relaxing.

Nowhere in MY Bible does it say anything against exercising, breathing and relaxing.

Nor does Scripture tell us not to smoke, do drugs, watch porn on TV, or gamble at casinos.

Does the fact that God odes not mention every conceivable thing for us NOT to do mean that it's OK?

Sometimes He gives us principles to live by and things that are not directly prohibited by God in Scripture can be recognized as wrong.

Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and what partnership does God have with the devil?

Opening yourself up to demonic influence is NOT wise. And yoga does that.

Some links FYI.

quote-Nowhere in MY Bible does it say anything against exercising, breathing and relaxing. I am extremely ignorant of yoga freedumb2003, so I went to wikipedia to get some info on it. and this popped up.. I ALL CAPS some words that popped out as words that caught my eye in light of my reading and meditating on His Word (psalm 119:15). The ALL CAPS in this as a means to show where some may get the idea that attaching or joining or uniting oneself in this would not be a path to sanctification, in light of His Word. excert from wikipedia to follow: According to David Gordon White (an expert), from the 5th century CE onward, the core principles of "yoga" were more or less in place, and variations of these principles developed in various forms over time:[30] Yoga, is a meditative means of discovering dysfunctional perception and cognition, as well as overcoming it for release from suffering, inner peace and SALVATION; illustration of this principle is found in HINDU texts such as the Bhagavad Gita and Yogasutras, in a number of BUDDHIST Mahāyāna works, as well as Jain texts;[31] Yoga, as the raising and expansion of CONSCIOUSNESS from oneself to being coextensive with everyone and everything; these are discussed in sources such as in HINDUISM Vedic literature and its Epic Mahābhārata, Jainism Praśamaratiprakarana, and BUDDHIST Nikaya texts;[32] Yoga, as a PATH TO OMNISCIENCE and enlightened consciousness enabling one to comprehend the impermanent (illusive, delusive) and permanent (true, transcendent) reality; examples are found in HINDUISM Nyaya and Vaisesika school texts as well as BUDDHISM Mādhyamaka texts, but in different ways;[33] Yoga, as a technique for ENTERING INTO OTHER BODIES, generating multiple bodies, and the attainment of other SUPERNATURAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS; these are, states White, described in TANTRIC literature of HINDUISM and BUDDHISM, as well as the BUDDHIST Sāmaññaphalasutta;[34] James Mallinson, however, disagrees and suggests that such fringe practices are far removed from the mainstream Yoga's goal as meditation-driven means to LIBERATION IN INDIAN RELIGIONS.[35] White clarifies that the last principle relates to legendary goals of "yogi practice", different from practical goals of "yoga practice," as they are viewed in South Asian thought and practice since the beginning of the Common Era, in the various HINDU, BUDDHIST, and Jain philosophical schools.[36] It seems like an expert in yoga doesn't just think it has to do with exercising, breathing and relaxing. Apparently there are some christians who have 'christian yoga. maybe to put a biblical spin on a practice with roots in false religions. I've come to be blessed to learn the enemy is subtle and deceives the whole world today.even and maybe especially in, and through, religion. and this yoga seems to have some roots in religion. But I am glad you made it so plain- basic exercise, breathing and relaxing as an excuse to do it. In light of your premise, yoga on one level, is people paying money to go to a yoga studio, to learn how to exercise, breathe and relax? When framed like that, it seems a little silly doesn't it? I would expect some of the 'nuts' out there might go so far and call the yoga studio a 'temple' of a false god or false religion. and the money paid as a sort of offering to a false god or false religion. But even if one doesn't want to go that far, people paying money to learn how to exercise, breathe and relax(your premise), that attributed PT Barnum proverb about fools and their money pops up into my head. And the bible has lots to say about fools.
