Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Back in the 1990's, our Troops were involved in an undeclared war, of which many Americans were unaware. The reasons for this conflict are still not clear, and, in light of subsequent world events, many have forgotten it. My Motorcycle Club was able to get the cooperation of the Military to ship some "comfort" items to the Troops. Toiletries, Snacks, Sunscreen, Toothpaste, Deodorant, Shampoo, Foot Powder, Whatever. Since I was the Activities Director of my group, I put out the call to the other clubs in the area, and we had a huge Pig Roast, Swap Meet, and BBQ, charged admission, and asked that everybody bring something for the Troops. We had two 18-Wheelers for the donations, and the Army had representatives there to help coordinate the effort.

What happened next was astounding. THOUSANDS of Bikers showed up, wearing their Colors, and bearing gifts. The two semis filled up so fast that we had to make a big pile of goods to be picked up in a second trip. We finally finished the day, and I still have the patch from the event on my vest.

When God inspired Bezalel and Oholiab to build the Tabernacle, and they put out the call to bring in the materials, the people responded in a similar fashion. There was such an abundance that the Foremen had to ask people to STOP bringing stuff! Not only were they bringing raw materials, they were also making yarn, fabric, embroidery, and other crafts. It is easy to see how the work would progress rapidly with the willing support of the people.

(I'll bet Moses didn't even try to entice them with a Pig Roast! LOL!)

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

God Bless America!

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

If people would only be that generous without being asked to. Praise God!
