But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them: Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people: And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the Lord done thus unto this land, and to this house? And they shall answer, Because they forsook the Lordtheir God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the Lordbrought upon them all this evil.( I Kings 9:6-9)

Those of us who have eyes to see have witnessed an unprecedented event in the past week. The world rushes by, oblivious to the significance of the event but for those waiting the arrival of King Messiah, a mixture of Joy, Dread and Awe accompany the events of recent history.

Let me be direct and succinct; for the first time in two thousand years, the Jews themselves have control of their Holiest site, the temple Mount in Jerusalem, and have been gathering there to pray openly.

This article is an exploration of the implications of this event.

When three ‘Palestinian Terrorists attacked two Druze policemen last week, and engaged in a fatal shootout on the Temple Mount, The Police Department of Jerusalem took control of the Holy Mountain, and installed metal detectors at it’s entrances. Muslims have been boycotting the temple Mount, ever since, and predictably, staging deadly riots and demonstrations.

This change of hands of custody of the Temple Mount, would mark the first time in two thousand years, Jews have been in control of it.

Solomon warned Israel by the Holy Spirit that if she were ever to turn from serving God, Israel would be cut off from the Land, and God himself would cast the temple, the visible symbol of Israel’s relationship with God, out of His sight!

He also warned that the site of the temple, would be a public testimony to all of the world, of the Holiness and Righteous Judgment of God, who wouldn’t even spare his covenant people the consequences of their sin and hardness of heart.

Daniel predicted that an “Abomination which makes desolate” the holy Mountain, would be erected. Something which occurred in the days of Antiochus Epiphanes, as well as in the Roman Period, and eventually which stands today in the form of the “Mosque of Omar”, and “The Dome of the Rock” desecrating the Holy Place. The blasphemous statement, “God has no Son” , is inscribed on Mosque which was erected on the Holiest site to the Jews, in the seventh century and which stands prominently today on that Mountain.

Interestingly enough, Solomon’s prediction of the destruction of the Temple was fulfilled twice, once in the year 587 bc , and then a second time in 70 Ad. Ironically both of those occurred on the same calendar date, Tisha B’Av, the ninth of the month of Av , roughly corresponding to late July or early August.

The three weeks preceding the destruction of the Temple in 70 Ad, are considered a period of mourning by Israel, They commemorate the breaching of the walls of Jerusalem by the Romans, which would lead to the utter destruction of the the Second Temple, commencing on the 17th of Tammuz. (It was on that very day in 2017 that the shootout occurred which led to the new status of custody, which we now see in Jerusalem).

It was fifty years ago, in June of 1967, when the newly reborn nation of Israel retook Jerusalem for the first time in centuries. We all saw battle hardened jewish paratroopers weeping at the wailing wall, and fulfilling partially the wistful prayers of Jews worldwide and for centuries through their long night of exile,”Next year in Jerusalem!”.

But we stand dismayed at what happened next, because it didn’t seem to fit our narrative. We thought Israel would fully occupy Jerusalem, and possibly sanctify the Temple grounds, and perhaps re-instate Temple worship and thus fulfill the prophecies of events of the last days.

Instead General Moshe Dayan turned the custody of the Temple Mount over to the Jordanian Waqf, (Waqf, in Arabic means’ Cease’!).The Waqf would determine who would “ascend the Holy Hill”, and who could pray or not pray (Muslims only), they would be in control of what went on , at the Holiest site of the Jews. The Waqf would be allowed to hollow out the Holy mountain, to destroy priceless artifacts from Jewish antiquity, including the first Temple, and even to desecrate the Holy site at will.

Muslims have been seen urinating on the platform which once housed the temple, and ancient , petrified Cedar beams, possibly from Solomon’s original temple, have been removed from beneath the site and burned as firewood!

Why has it taken so long for Jews to retake the temple Mount ? Since it is the Holiest site to all of Judaism, why didn’t it immediately become Jewish controlled since 1967? How could even secular Jewish leaders turn such a sacred site over to Muslim control?

The only sense I can make of it, is found in the Words of Jesus himself, in Luke 21.

…Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.(Luke 21:24b)

Jesus warned that Jerusalem would be ceremonially defiled…“Trodden underfoot of the Gentiles”, is a ritualistic technical term, which of necessity refers to the Temple Mount itself. For How Long would Jerusalem endure this defilement by Gentile occupation of it’s most sacred spot? Until the time of the Gentiles be fulfilled…

Perhaps in our next article we should explain that phrase, ‘the time of the Gentiles…”.

I mentioned that in my article and the fact of what Dayan did after capturing the Holy mt. Evidently June 1967 was not the fulfillment of the Times of the Gentiles...

Ezekiel,I stand corrected,I read that wrong. I think it still significant that this event occurred during the three weeks leading up to Tisha B, Av. Thanks for the heads up...

The Holy Spirit is working major OT to hold it all back IMHO.

Your post in 7 says a lot and I’m still trying to wrap my head around it all.

Never heard of Jerusalem syndrome but I’ll look it up to read more about it.

[[Dayan later explained that for Jews the site was just of historical interest while for Muslims it was an active and ongoing place of worship.

The Secular Establishment in Israel takes great pains to discourage any Jewish messianic fervor. With the recapture of the Temple Mount, they were afraid of the Jewish religion, not the Muslim religion.]]

That’s because the secular establishment likes living in Babylon (living like the world around them )
verses the other side that holds what their teachers wrote above the scriptures . The law and the prophets testify against both of them.
Both sides are guilty of looking to the nations to help instead of looking to their creator. Where are they looking for help ?

They are looking for a Cyrus but they are going to get an Antiochus . The time of Jacob’s trouble spoken of by Danielle is almost here.

Where does your help come from ?

Psa 121:2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

Neither side is seeking the truth yet

(Jeremiah 29:13) And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Who is their shield ?

2Sa_22:3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.

(BTW the Hebrew word in that very verse is hamas )

More proof of who their shield is

Psa_28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
Psa_119:114 Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

Psa_144:2 My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.

Israel is suffering from the same problem that they have always suffered from

(1 Samuel 8:5) And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.

(1 Samuel 8:6) But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD.

(1 Samuel 8:7) And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.

I see rabbis saying they want to build a house of worship for everyone to use . Did these rabbis miss the fact that God doesn’t lie , teach people to rape , teach people to covet what doesn’t belong to them ? Why would they want to share a worship space with the bael worshipers ?

(Psalms 92:15) To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

The fifth book of the Torah overall is a lesson in discernment , the difference between what is right and almost right .

God is about to turn his back towards Israel again , he has his name to protect .

(Ezekiel 36:21) But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went.

(Ezekiel 36:22) Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.

(Ezekiel 36:23) And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

(Ezekiel 36:24) For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

(Ezekiel 36:25) Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

(Ezekiel 36:26) A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

(Ezekiel 36:27) And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

(Ezekiel 36:28) And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

Isaiah 53 is Israel’s national repentance .
Yes he is coming to save them when they cry out to him.
God is allowing this so they cry out to him.

Oh and the nations around are so screwed .

(Psalms 147:1) Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.

(Psalms 147:2) The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.

(Psalms 147:3) He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

(Psalms 147:4) He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.

(Psalms 147:5) Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.

(Psalms 147:6) The LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.

(Psalms 147:7) Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

(Psalms 147:8) Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.

(Psalms 147:9) He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.

(Psalms 147:10) He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.

(Psalms 147:11) The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

(Psalms 147:12) Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.

(Psalms 147:13) For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.

(Psalms 147:14) He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.

[[Thanks, I hadn’t heard of that. I’ll be looking that up.]]

Dr Reagan interviewed James Flemming (thanks jjotto for the name as I couldn’t remember his name )
The picture he took of the top of the gate below the current is here in the interview

http://christinprophecyblog.org/2012/11/explorations-in-antiquity-center-where-the-bible-comes-to-life/

Dr. Fleming: You always bring up something that took no foresight nor brilliance. It is called “stumbling into an archaeological discovery.” I fell into a hole.

I was photographing around the Old City of Jerusalem and I was taking a picture of the Eastern Gate to the city. It had been raining for several days and so of course the ground became soft. There was a mass burial tomb under where I was standing. Just when I went “click” taking a picture of the top of the gate, I fell down eight feet into the ground. I found myself in a mass tomb surrounded by 46 skeletons. Actually, I didn’t count them right away. I wanted first to make sure enough rocks fell in so that I could climb up and it wouldn’t be 47 skeletons!

Dr. Reagan: Brother, if I’d fallen down in that tomb I would have walked on air to get out, and here you’re counting skeletons! You actually took a camera and started taking pictures, and what did you see in one of those pictures?

Dr. Fleming: I saw an arch of an earlier gate.

Dr. Reagan: So, you proved that the ancient Eastern Gate was located below the current Eastern Gate, which was a major archaeological debate up to that point?

Dr. Fleming: Yes, that it was finally fully discovered. The top of the arch is in place, which means another 20 feet down or so would be the roadway. I told my archaeologist professor the next day and he thought I fell on my head. “Sure you found the gate,” he patronized, but at least he was willing to come back to the site.

Can you believe the Islamic authorities had already cemented the hole over? That’s very uncharacteristic of Middle East efficiency back in 1969. At that time I was just a kid.

[[These Wile E. Coyotes of the Temple Mount attack Israel and what happens, their own deeds ‘blow up’ in their faces and the Waqf evicted. They never learn.

Here’s the ‘permanent status’ of legitimate authority that any sane person should embrace. Not the time for Israel to go the way of Moshe Dayan. It’s the grand opportunity to rectify that colossal mistake.

What timing, the Three Weeks.]]

The timing is certainly interesting to say the least.
We’ll have to watch and see what happens at the end of this month.

The narrative certainly needed to play out longer. And also, the decision by Dayan is one that needs to be rectified.

All part of the same process.

Much appreciated, thanks!

I’ve been outside all day digging and excavating (stones, no less), so no time to do research.
