You are now presenting a different argument. You originally said a priest should be married to better understand a married couple’s problems. You did not say that a married couple should go to a licensed marriage counselor.
But again, not all marriage counselors have to be married to be educated, licensed and properly formed to provide advice in their area of expertise. Likewise, priests are trained to do the same. They don’t have to be married to provide spiritual advice on marital problems.
