Perhaps it is you that are doing that. Did Jesus keep the law? Is He our example or not? If we are to follow Him then we need to follow Him. I don't see how we are doing wrong by following His example. But if you feel different then you have followed the way of the world. 2 Thess. 2:11
“Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers” (Romans 15:8).
Of course Jesus Christ kept the law . . . and He was the ONLY man to ever keep the law PERFECTLY - for it is only in doing that can one enter heaven on their own virtue.
For anyone else, it is one sin and you are forever damned.
His perfect keeping of the law was the ONLY thing that qualified Him to become the PERFECT and COMPLETE sacrifice to atone for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD - but the gift of that act is only available to the individual that comes to Him by faith to receive it after acknowledging that they deserve to go to hell.
With your use of the verse from Thessalonians, I certainly hope that you are not calling the death, burial and resurrection of my Saviour a lie.
