A new report produced by one of the nation's leading social conservative activist organization claims that there has been 76 percent increase in religious freedom violations and a 114 percent surge in documented hostility toward Christian views on marriage and sexuality in the last three years.
In a June 2017 report titled "Hostility to Religion: The Growing Threat to Religious Liberty in the United States," the Washington, D.C.-based Family Research Council highlighted various instances in which Americans' First Amendment rights have been infringed upon or instances in which they faced hostility over their religious views on sexuality that are in disagreement with those of the political left.
The report divided the reported instances into four different categories: "Attacks on Religious Expression in the Public Square," "Attacks on Religious Expression in Schools and Universities," "Censure of Religious Viewpoints Regarding Sexuality," and "Suppression of Religious Viewpoints on Sexuality Using Nondiscrimination Laws."
"When the first edition of this report was released in July 2014, religious freedom violations across the United States were already significantly high. Since that date, the number of incidents has only increased," a summary of the report states. "The first edition — spanning over a decade — contained 90 incidents. Yet 69 new incidents have been added in the short time since the last report. That is a 76 percent increase in just under three years."

Just because it hasn’t happened to someone you know doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened in the USA. The church I’m a member of - a Baptist one - has made changes to its constitution to REDUCE the chance of being sued for failing to do homosexual marriages.
Obama and others have tried to change freedom in the EXERCISE of religious belief into merely freedom to worship within the confines of a church building.
That’s too bad that your church has already folded.

Persecution of Christians is just beginning. More and more individuals have bought the concerted effort of the devil to cast doubt on the veracity of the Bible and of the real Jesus. Sadly many “churches” are falling for the lies as well.

If the constitution was a biblical one, then why did it need the change?
This was all foretold in the Bible nearly 2000 years ago. Christians know this will happen. More and more people in the world hate Christianity because they cannot justify their lifestyles spiritually
I can imagine several things. For example, making it clear that Marriage ceremonies and church facilities are only for church members and their Christian family members and cannot be rented by the general public.
I agree, I can imagine those things also. I was hoping the individual would explain what the church did himself. I always keep an eye out for these kind of discussions because I am involved with church startups and mission work and do not want to reinvent the wheel, so to say.

It previously had no mention of homosexual marriage. No one had ever felt the need. It now specifically says that no homosexual marriage can be done on church property, and the pastor cannot perform one anywhere. That position was tied to scripture, which reduces (but does not eliminate) the possibility of the pastor being sued for being personally prejudiced against homosexuals.

Yep, all the alleged Christians that subscribe to pay movie channels and financially support the transmission of soft pornography into their homes fit in the category depicted by the title of this post.
His church hasn’t folded. They have merely attempted to remove any possible ambiguity from their church tenents about exactly where they stand about homosexuality and same-sex marriage. If they did what my Baptist church did, they didn’t soften anything but attempted to cast their beliefs in concrete. We do not want a judge trying to interpret the Bible for us. Like the Pilgrims we can do quite well on our own, thank you.
