I don’t think the PCA is part of this “communion” and the PCUSA is — so, IMHO, this organization is “suspect”.
PCUSA is a very very sad “partner church,” to put it mildly. “ Ecumenicalism” is already viewed with considerable suspicion. This move only reinforces those concerns. There are other Calvinist/ Presbyterian denominations which endeavor to teach and live far more recognizably- Christian lives than PCUSA. Many many believing Christians have fled PCUSA for these and other churches. If there’s to be “ecumenical deals” why not with them? Why with an outfit including PCUSA?
