We are going to go through this book in a very slow fashion - no hurry.
This subject is completely a matter of faith. Those that reject or do not possess a particular preference for the King James Bible are welcome to visit and participate - but this is not an argument thread. I am not responsible to convince anyone against his or her will.
Either you have faith in a God that is able to preserve His Word or you do not - but you are not going to convince us to reject our faith that the King James Bible is the ONLY Bible that God is blessing for the English Speaking people. And He has been doing it for the past 406 years

All Bibles that have been thrust upon us over the last couple hundred years have been based on corrupted texts . . . Vaticanus and Siniaticus. The source of these Bibles came from St. Catherines monastery where a count by the name of Tischendorff found pages and pages of Bible manuscripts in barrels and took them.
The story behind these pages is that the monks were tediously and carefully preparing copies of the Bible. Whenever a scribe made an error rather than attempt to correct the mistake the page was placed in a barrel (they would not destroy them) and begin a brand new page. Every page that came to completion was error-free. In fact, they had a schematic for each page where every letter, punctuation mark, or space was in the same exact location on every single page.
What Tischendorf did, in essence, was to steal their trash and use it to produce Bibles . . . corrupt Bibles.
This is why the Textus Receptus, the source of the King James Bible, is the only one trusted and was the basis for Gods preserved Word for the English-speaking people.
The bottom line is, will Christians embrace the 1611 Authorized Version as their final authority or will they appeal to the dictates of human tradition?
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ (Colossians 2:8
The next thread is up!
I like Dr. Grady.
He is truly a blessed man of God. He has many great studies online and has authored some great classic studies.
His, “What Hath God Wrought,” should be required reading!
What is the book, chapter and verse that affirms that "the King James Bible is the ONLY Bible that God is blessing for the English Speaking people."
Oh that's right. There isn't any.
“Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men” (II Corinthians 3:2).
Do you memorize many verses?
Yes, indeed!
Perhaps you will enjoy this article from a site that bears your screen name.

And like a dog returning to its vomit, didn't he go back years later and find some more. Tischendorf, the trash picker! :)
As old-fashioned Bible believers, we find ourselves quoting this grand old verse a lot!
“If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (Psalm 11:3).
One of those foundations - if not the greatest, seeing as how our Lord has “magnified thy word above all thy name” is the Word of God itself.
What would people do if they were to finally understand that the foundation of the modern translations is a trash can in a monastery?
If it was good enough for Jesus...
I believe only the Holy Spirit can change people’s hearts concerning the damage that’s been done to Christianity and to America itself after Churches threw out the KJB, in favor of modern translations. I know for years after I first got saved, I used all the same excuses they use today to not believe God’s preserved word. But after years of backsliding and not knowing why I was eating but not getting properly nourished, did God speak to my heart about the KJB.
He certainly is blessing it’s use to the saving of souls.
Many fundamental Bible believers simply don’t have time to thrash around in the mud with “scholars” because they are just too busy winning the lost to Christ.
Grady mentions Gypsy Smith, who crisscrossed the Atlantic Ocean forty-five times in his quest for souls. He was too busy winning the lost to spend time critiquing their Bibles. The roving evangelist summarized his antipathy for the world of intellectualism, remarked:
“I didn’t go through your colleges and seminaries. They wouldn’t have me . . . but I have been to the feet of Jesus where the only true scholarship is learned” (Ed Reese, The Life and Times of Gypsy Smith (1880-1947), Christian Hall of Fame Series, no. 8 (Glenwood, Ill.: Fundamental Publishers, 1975), 12.
And he mentions that Lester Roloff was more interested in expounding “Dr. Law and Dr. Grace” than to spend time listening to Dr. Westcott and Dr. Hort.
What does your response have to do with the question asked?
Amen!
God has permitted me the treasure of memorizing the Pauline epistles so that I can quote each book from beginning to end . . . and I am here to testify that I could never have done that with a corrupt Bible.
I have never had the fortune to learn my Bible like Dr. Jack Van Impe (who once stood on the Book - but has since drifted) - but it is such a habit with me now that I hope to continue it in glory!
Maybe in a million years or so I’ll have it down from cover to cover . . . though our minds will be healed up there and we’ll know all things - maybe even the Book!
It sounded good to me.
In our Christian faith we all have ‘convictions’ and ‘preferences’.
To me, a conviction includes the virgin birth of Christ, salvation by grace without works, and the pure and preserved Bible as delivered to us in the King James Bible.
When I consider that every Bible that is not a KJB attacks fundamental doctrines of the faith - chiefly the Deity of Christ - I consider them dangerous and to be avoided.
I can’t help that that offends folks that would rather be their own ‘final authorities’ over God - I will stand on my conviction.
Listen, the devil has attacked every major truth that Christianity has to offer - Salvation, the church, the family, the ministry - why is it so hard to believe that the Bible is also under attack and that Satan has his counterfeits.
Your response is
Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men (II Corinthians 3:2).
Do you memorize many verses?
And you think your response sounded good???
First, how EXACTLY did it answer JIL?
And secondly, what was the purpose of asking whether they memorized verses?
What does that have to do with their question?
Yes, Ahab told Naboth "Give me thy vineyard for money;" and many KJB preachers give it for the money, something Naboth refused to do. Ahab's money is very tempting and hard to refuse. When a Pastor is confronted by the big money donors in a Church or an evangelist is told by his "sponsors" to give up God's preserved Word for the modern translations, many times the love of money wins out.
