You are right. False teachers are a dime a dozen, and they are everywhere. A few others, that I forgot to mention, and there are more, but some are Mad Mo, Buddha, Confucius, Jim Jones, and others.
It seems to me, that generally speaking, with some exceptions for sure, that many claim to be the only one. In many cases, their so called plan of salvation, seems to be baptism, good works, and church membership, in their religion alone. Many engage in cult speak, and have no real assurance of salvation at all. The majority sink into the tomb, without one ray of hope for eternal life in Heaven. The Great White Throne Judgement, will not be pretty.
It's sad, but assurance of salvation is so simple, a child can understand it. The blindness is willful.
There are lots of false religionists around here too, but many of them have the Berean attitude. They just want to know the truth. 🙃
