“This is for Allah!” So shouted three Islamist jihadis as they drove a van across the London Bridge yesterday, mowing down pedestrians in their path.
They then proceeded to the nearby Borough Market where they continued their rampage, stabbing some of those enjoying a night on the town and slashing the throats of others.
By daybreak this morning in London, seven innocents had been killed and nearly 50 others injured in the Ramadan terror attack by the three devotees to the supposed “religion of peace.”
British Prime Minister Theresa May stated today that there was no apparent connection between last night’s mass murder in London and the terror attack in Manchester last month or the attack in Westminster the month before that.
Except that they were all driven by the “the single evil ideology of Islamist extremism.”
Indeed, the extremism of which May spoke is hardly a recent threat. It actually dates back to the time of Abraham, as the Bible attests.
In Genesis 16, Abraham’s childless wife Sarah pleads with her husband to use her Egyptian handmaiden Hagar as a surrogate mother that he might have an heir. When Hagar became pregnant, Sarah began to despise her, prompting Hagar to flee.
As the Egyptian mother-to-be made her way through the desert, an angel appeared to her and told her to return to Sarah. “You will give birth to a son,” the angel said. “You will name him Ishmael, for the Lord has heard of your misery.”
Ishmael would be “a wild donkey of a man,” the angel continued. “His hand will be against everyone and everyone’s hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all of his brothers.”
And so it has been for the past 4,100 years.
Those whose lineage began with Ishmael, the son of Abraham and Hagar, have never been peaceable toward those who trace their lineage to Isaac, the son of Abraham and Sarah.
Indeed, Ishmael’s heirs insist the lands possessed today by Israel rightly belong to them. And they claim the prophet Muhammad – a purported descendant of Nebajoth, the first born son of Ishmael – foretold the Muslim conquest of Jerusalem, which ushered in 450 years of Arab control of the Holy Land.
But much as God remembered His chosen people after 400 years of bondage in Egypt, He remembered His people – Jews and Christians alike – after four and a half centuries of subjugation to Ishmael’s descendants.
In 1095, armies of Christians throughout Western Europe set out on the First Crusade and, by 1099, they succeeded in liberating Jerusalem from Muslim rule.
The Islamic jihadis did not give up, however. It took them nearly 100 years, but under Sultan Saladin they finally recaptured the Holy City.
For the better part of the next seven centuries, there was no recognized Jewish state; no land the descendants of Abraham and Sarah could call there own. Then in 1948 a miracle happened – the State of Israel was reestablished.
Of course, that did not happen without Muslim opposition. The day after Israel’s rebirth, Syria, Egypt, Iraq and Transjordan declared jihad against the Jewish nation. And the four Arab countries were joined in their attack against Israel by Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Sudan and Morocco.
Though the Israeli Army faced an overwhelming force, the God of angel armies was by their side. And after a year of military combat, a ceasefire was declared, followed by Israel’s admission to the United Nations.
Nearly 60 years later, much of the Muslim world still refuses to accept the state of Israel’s right to exist. Still desires that Jews be driven into the sea. Still believes terror attack against Israel justifiable.
But the evil ideology of Islamic terrorism is no longer directed at Israel alone. It also is directed at civilian populations of nations like Great Britain that are hardly strong allies of Israel, but do not share the hatred all too many Muslims have for the Jewish people.
Radical Islam is a clear and present danger to the civilized world. And the word of God warned us about that more than four millennia ago.

I'm pretty sure we can stockpile ammo faster than they can breed.
But I get your point - we need to do a better job of breeding ourselves - I think we still know the recipe....
