What has been and is still being said on the secrets of Fatima are "useless speculation," because "what Fatima wanted to tell us was said publicly and openly" and Her message is "the core message of Christianity" that is "The announcement that Jesus has risen, that Jesus is alive, that Jesus is the Lord of history" Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of the Vatican State, said in an interview with the Vatican media on the eve of Pope Francis' 2-day journey in the Portuguese Marian sanctuary when, on the occasion of the centenary of the first apparitions of May 13 1917, he will canonize two of the three visionary shepherds.
"I believe that Fatima's message is the central message of Christianity, the one we are experiencing at his greatest during this Easter time, that is, the announcement that Jesus has risen, that Jesus is alive, that Jesus is the Lord of history," the cardinal affirms during an interview with journalist Barbara Castelli in which he recalls, among other things, Benedict XVIs words in 2010, when he said: " We would be mistaken to think that Fatimas prophetic mission is complete". There has been much speculation and yes, there will still be speculation on the secrets of Fatima - Parolin continues - but in a sense they are unnecessary speculations, because what Fatima wanted to tell us She said publicly and openly. And this is the core message of faith, of our Christian faith, of our Catholic faith. From here thus a different vision of life is born: a life that becomes a pilgrimage to the Lord Jesus; It becomes a pilgrimage sustained and continually renewed by the power of the Gospel. Then, the prophetic mission of Fatima is to remind the Church what she is, what she must continue to be, a church that announces in today's world, a community that proclaims new heavens and earths and which awaits, almost anticipates them - as the Council would say by immersing herself in the darkest and most painful folds of history with the strength of love to change it. This is Fatima's prophetic message which, in a certain sense, coincides with the prophetic message of the Church".
In the customary interview given before a Pope's international voyage to the Secretariat for Communication, and published entirely on the Vatican TV Center (CTV) site, the Roman Observer and the Vatican Radio, the Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal underlined the fact that the Pope's journey on May 12-13 in Fatima wants to "express and highlight alongside, of course, his love and devotion to Our Lady, of which we have so much evidence and many signs, especially the respect and attention that The Pope brings to the Marian experience of the people of God." Parolin emphasizes that "the Virgin of the Magnificat, the Lady of the Rosary," "did not appear to the rich, did not appear to the powerful, did not appear to the influential people, but appeared to children, the ones considered as 'the last of society, to use Pope's terminology as societys "discarded". She wanted to privilege these people, this category of person. Because - Parolin emphasizes - the Madonna of the Magnificat gave the pastors of Fatima a counter-current message. We were in wartime, so the words were of hate, of revenge, of hostility, of conflict, as Benedict XVI referred to "the useless massacre". Our Lady talks about love, speaks of forgiveness, speaks of the ability to sacrifice oneself and to be a gift to others in what was a total reversal of the values or "disvalues" dominating society at that given moment." "Very topical instructions for Portugal as well as for the rest of the world," Parolin explains.
The Venetian Cardinal reminds us that "it is commonly said that sanctuaries are the clinics of the Spirit and we know, the Pope has also highlighted it recently, transferring its competences to the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of New Evangelization."
As for the shepherds Giacinta and Francesco, whom the Pope will proclaim saint on May 13, "belong to a certain time and place in history, with its way of expressing itself, its language and tools used at that particular time, which had "the ability to go straight to the heart of the Gospel through the Immaculate Heart of Mary": "These children have made their own this message, this reality and now they offer it to us with the authority of their holiness that the Church recognizes before the world."
Weren’t the secrets supposed to be released in 1960?
Pure B.S. The third Secret was never told openly and in public. And it's full content has still not been revealed. We are now seeing Our Lady's warnings coming to fruition with the likes of Parolin and Bergoglio, et al.
That’s what she said, but the Popes in between decided not to release it.
Only the first two secrets were revealed very early. Our Lady commanded that the third secret was to be revealed by no later than 1960. It wasn’t and VC II was opened two years later.
Today we are seeing the results of the popes’ failures to heed Her request.
People are so concerned about the secrets, but it is only out f curiosity they want to know. She called us to live her message. We should pray and quit worrying what’s in the secrets. If you are not doing what she told us to do what does it matter if the church has done what she asked it to do.
Parolin and his butt buddies are going straight to Hell.
Well, World War II is the first reason that comes to mind. But some people just care about their selfish selves.
“The secrets of Fatima” from the past are presently known. Pope John Paul II read the third page of Sr. Lucia’s journal while at the Gemelli hospital in 1981. He was shot, Lucia’s journal predicted it, and the bullet now rests in the crown of Our Lady of Fatima.
It is fun to think that parts of the journal are still secret. It is pointless to conclude that the job of consecrating Russia to Mary is incomplete. Her heart is getting crushed daily and we need to help her out with Five First Saturdays.
Why not? Where is the peace that Our Lady had promised would be granted to the world?
