Oh, and by the way. Why aren't you HONEST, and admit that the comments that I asked to be pulled WERE ON A CATHOLIC CAUCUS THREAD???
OOOH!
I want to READ this CCT!!! to judge for myself.
The initiator and definer of this thread has already notified you that this is not a caucus thread; that it is an open-discussion thread.
The purpose of posting these deliberately NON-caucus teasers seems to be clear:
o Draw a topic laden with Biblical error past the noses of RF addicts to see if anyone of the non-catholic element bites on it.
o The non-catholic reader responds, pointing out an obvious unbiblical thrust in the article.
o The usual pre-catechised debaters lurking around either promote a false doctrine found in the article, or attack the non-catholic with the old tired (usually already-refuted) arguments.
o The scent draws in more Biblicists, and the usual exchange of irate responses begins, and continues until everyone is tired of it, and they all go on to the next one.
I doubt if any casual reader actually follows the exchanges more than a time or two. He/she also tires of the trotting-out of shopworn, erroneous catholicisms that define its monolithic niche in a pluralistic Christendom, at the expense of the time-wasting labors of Bible-adherents.
If you haven't tumbled to this, you ought to, and save your criticisms for a venue where they might be taken seriously. To sit around and let it eat at you is not really healthy; it would be a sort of self-inflicted masochism.
