Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

The Book of Psalms

Psalm 149

Psalm 149

1 Praise the Lord.[a]

Sing to the Lord a new song,
    his praise in the assembly of his faithful people.

2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;
    let the people of Zion be glad in their King.
3 Let them praise his name with dancing
    and make music to him with timbrel and harp.
4 For the Lord takes delight in his people;
    he crowns the humble with victory.
5 Let his faithful people rejoice in this honor
    and sing for joy on their beds.

6 May the praise of God be in their mouths
    and a double-edged sword in their hands,
7 to inflict vengeance on the nations
    and punishment on the peoples,
8 to bind their kings with fetters,
    their nobles with shackles of iron,
9 to carry out the sentence written against them—
    this is the glory of all his faithful people.

Praise the Lord.

Abba, Father, Who Art in Heaven,
Blessed Be Your Glorious Name Forever!
We Come Into Your Holy Presence
With Praise and Singing.
For You Alone Are Worthy,
You Alone Are LORD,
You Alone Are The One True God of The Universe!

1. Praise the LORD!

Sing to the LORD a new song,
And His praise in the assembly of saints.

Father, We Thank You For The Magnificent Heritage
that You Have Given us Through Your People!
Your Holy Word,
So Righteous and True,
Your Law and Your Precepts,
The Foundation of Our Civilization,
Your Beautiful Earth,
The Creatures,
The Days and The Seasons,
And Your Messiah,
For Whose Glorious Appearing We Wait!
LORD, We Pray For the Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise!
We Pray for Our Own Leaders in America,
May They Speak Comfort to Jerusalem.
May We NOT be Numbered Among Israel's Enemies, God Forbid!
We Pray For The American People,
May They NOT be Deceived by the Media.
May Their Eyes be Opened with regard to God's People Israel

2. Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;

4. For the LORD takes pleasure in His people;
He will beautify the humble with salvation.

Father, We pray for an END to Lies,
Slander,
Blood Libel,
Propaganda,
and Antisemitism against Your Beloved.
We Pray For an End to Slavery,
Hostage-Taking,
and Piracy
wherever it is Practiced Around the World.
We Beseech You on Behalf of Our Captive Brethren,
Christians and Jews,
In Bondage in Hostile lands.

5. Let the saints be joyful in glory;
Let them sing aloud on their beds.
6. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,
And a two-edged sword in their hand,
7. To execute vengeance on the nations,
And punishments on the peoples;
8. To bind their kings with chains,
And their nobles with fetters of iron;
9. To execute on them the written judgment—
This honor have all His saints.

Praise the LORD!

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

I am telling you the truth, I did not plan it this way, but we will be finishing the Book of Psalms on Easter Sunday (tomorrow) with the culmination of Praise and Glory, known as Psalm 150. As we have discovered, there are no coincidences in God's Universe, and He is not surprised by ANYTHING. For you and me, however, life is full of surprises!

I invite you to "vote' on what our next study will be. I was thinking of Genesis, Exodus, or Nehemiah, all of which are very applicable to our times. Let me know! And have a Blessed Passover, Easter and Spring Season!

Not to generate a debate over historical dates, but the traditional year for the Crucifixion is A.D. 33.

That makes this year "1984". Considering that the novel is a tale of tyranny and bondage, such that the year has become synonymous with a time of trouble, and that this year began the destruction of the Establishment... perhaps 2017 = 1984 is an example of "there [being] no coincidences in God's Universe".

And on that note, my vote goes to Exodus for your next study, what with the timing and all. :)
