The God of the NY is merciful to those who accept His grace. God being God can do as He pleases
The current paradigm is that God is like our employee. He longs to do good things for us. Our participation frees Him to contribute to our well-being. Until we enter into the equation, He is shackled by us.
If you are late on your light bill, believing that God will take care of it will free Him to do just that.
I used to think this was cult thinking until I started visiting churches. People seem to like this paradigm. It makes them feel empowered.
New York has it's own God?
