“and he certainly has produced new insights, which is good.”
And which new insights are good?
I have a new appreciation of certain phrases in Lumen Gentium 25. I have a greater appreciation of the multifaceted relationship between the Pope and the Liturgy—teacher, guardian, exemplar—three distinct roles.
These are good new insights for me, which are passed on to my students. Pope Francis was the occasion of them (the insights, that is). For that I am grateful.
I have had to dig deeper in making certain acts of faith and hope.
It wouldn’t suprise me if Francis himself has also had some good insights that are new, but I can’t think of any off hand at the moment. I suppose that is what you are after. Maybe it is because I hit my head today slipping on ice.
Be grateful for what you can find to be grateful for.
This'll be great; if you get an answer and I get and answer, too!
We can SEE the 'good' and the 'bad' and determine just how 'ugly' the pope is!
